On a wonderful three-week family trip to Scotland in mid 2004, we had the pleasure of visiting the restored ruins of Castle Menzies in the Scottish Highlands. While we were free to roam and explore many parts of the castle interior, one of my favorite scenes was this incredible stone staircase with its beautiful sculpted shapes and light from a tiny window. It wasn’t practical to make any use of my 4x5 camera in this location, but a fine little Olympus digital camera I had with me served the purpose nicely!
