Once in a while, the four seasons just don’t behave as planned or as “usual." Such was the case when Yosemite’s Tioga Pass opened a week or two before my annual May Yosemite workshop for The Ansel Adams Gallery--an unplanned treat.
Celebrating the chance to explore lands usually closed at that time of year, our group hopped over to Lee Vining and made a late afternoon stop at Lake Tenaya. Unless I am doing some sort of demo for students, I don’t usually trot out any of my “big” cameras during workshop sessions, but I never like to be without something to work with. I had thought I made this photo of a favorite spot with a Canon 5D, but in double checking details, I found I did this with my little Leica!
