One of my favorite spots in Yosemite is Olmstead Point on the high road over Tioga Pass. The scene from Olmstead includes a wonderful vista of Half Dome in one direction. To the east, it looks down on Lake Tenaya; to the north there is a huge granite rise with glacial erratics and magnificent junipers. This one tree had always caught my fancy, and the clouds and soft light made the day.
